Chance's Story:
Chance is a sweet, calm, and kind-hearted ten-year-old who loves Legos and video games. He also loves riding his bike and learning how everything works.

Chance had been experiencing cold-like symptoms since October of 2021 but tested negative for Covid. In late December Chance’s symptoms became much worse and complications set in.

He was taken to the hospital where doctors discovered his kidneys were starting to fail and a mass was discovered in his left lung. He was transferred to Doernbecher Children’s hospital. Multiple tests revealed he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Chance’s treatments started immediately with two weeks of intensive chemotherapy. He is still in the beginning stages of his journey, and he has a long fight ahead of him.

For now, he must endure lumbar punctures, bone marrow tests and is still in the induction phase of his treatment.

Despite all of this, Chance remains positive and enjoys Star Wars movies and riding his bike.

Chance will be adopted as a Sparrow at Reynolds High School. Students will work hard to raise money for him through sponsored community service.
