Vivian is a sweet, smart, and sassy 5-year-old. She is very loving and caring. Vivi loves to take care of her baby dolls as well as her kitten Otis. She is a girly girl that loves all things sparkly, pink, and fluffy.

nWhen Vivian and her twin brother were born everything seemed fine. However, within the first week doctors noticed Vivi was not eating or gaining weight. She spent the first three weeks in the hospital.

nDoctors discovered Vivian had cystic fibrosis when she was just 17 days old. This progressive genetic disease causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.

nIn Vivi’s case it also affects her digestive system and her ability to maintain a healthy weight. This means she must always be on a special diet as well.

nVivian’s daily life consists of a special type of chest therapy to help break up the mucus in her lungs twice a day, multiple medications, inhalers, and always social distancing. She must be extra careful as her body is always more susceptible to infection.

nVivi is sweet and an inspiration to those around her. She loves laughing and playing with her brother and sister. She takes life in stride as she waits for a cure to be found for cystic fibrosis.

nVivian will be adopted as a Sparrow to Sherwood High School. Students will work hard to not only love and support her but also raise money for Vivi through sponsored community service for medical and daily expenses.
