Meet Tristan

Read Tristan's Story

Tristan is an outgoing and funny five-year-old who loves to dress up. He also loves Ninjas and all superheroes, especially Batman and Aiyon the Power Ranger.

In April 2022, Tristan began losing weight and had been experiencing pain in his legs and arms. He also started bruising easily and started to get low-grade fevers for a couple of weeks. The week before his diagnosis he had a fever of 103, his parents thought it was just a virus but by the next day, they decided to take him to the doctor.

After waiting for blood tests to come back, his parents were told he might have Leukemia. Tristan was sent to Randalls Children’s Hospital where a room was waiting for him. There he was officially diagnosed with High-Risk B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Tristan’s journey began with a series of more bloodwork, bone marrow biopsies, a spinal tap, and chemotherapy.

His treatment cycles have been rough, and the side effects have been filled with hair loss and random fevers, rashes, and intestinal issues. His white blood cell counts remain low, and he must continually be careful. His journey has just begun, and doctors will monitor his progress carefully.

Tristan is a warrior, and he will fight this battle. He will be adopted as a Sparrow to Forest Grove High School. Students will work hard to raise money for Tristan through sponsored community service.
