Read Grayson's Story

Grayson is a very happy and social 3-year-old little boy with an endearing laugh and a love for animals and music.

Grayson’s medical journey started at birth when he was born three weeks early and suffered a stroke. He spent his first three weeks in the NICU and the stroke significantly impacted the entire left side of his body.

In addition, genetic testing revealed that Grayson has a very rare genetic disorder called Tetrasomy 18P (T18P). There are approximately only 250 cases of T18P in the world.

At three years old, Grayson has experienced physical disabilities, developmental and speech delays, and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and a heart condition.

Grayson was also born with an extra thumb on his right hand. He will most likely have surgery next year to have it removed.

Grayson does not yet walk on his own but loves to crawl everywhere and uses a stander to help improve his mobility. He also has weekly speech and physical therapies.

Grayson’s medical journey continues to have many ups and downs, but through it all, his joyful personality and his bright smile shine through, endearing him to all who meet him.

Grayson will be adopted as a Sparrow to Mountain View High School in Bend. MVHS students will work hard to earn money for Grayson through sponsored community service, supporting him and cheering him on as his family continues to navigate his medical needs.
