Huck is an adventurous seven-year-old who loves to play Minecraft and Roblox. He loves riding his bike and his scooter, going on walks, and jumping on the trampoline.

nIn July of 2019, when Huck began having difficulty breathing, he was taken to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. It was there, tests revealed Huck had a large mass around his lungs. Doctors removed the mass and the following Monday the diagnosis of T-Cell Lymphoma followed.

n Hucks’ treatments of aggressive chemotherapy began immediately. He struggled with all the side effects expected, like losing weight from not eating, sores in his mouth and headaches.

nHe is now in the maintenance phase of treatment. It is important for him to take daily medications and be sure to continue the oral chemotherapy.

nHuck has endured so much in his young life but continues to be brave and is not afraid to try new things.

nHuck will be adopted as a Sparrow to West Sylvan Middle School. Students will work hard to not only love and support him but also raise money for Huck through sponsored community service for medical and daily needs.
