Meet Forrest

Read Forrest's Story

Forrest is a 2-year-old little boy who is incredibly sweet. He loves dancing, music, reading books, and playing with his big sister, Lilliana.
n
nForrest was born with a very rare condition that is a mutation of the NONO gene. This gene mutation causes several medical challenges that will affect Forrest throughout his entire life.
n
nThese challenges include a tall and skinny stature, several mid-line defects affecting his muscles and joints, a congenital heart defect, sensory challenges, and developmental delays.
n
nForrest is also missing the corpus callosum in his brain (the area responsible for sending signals to his body).
n
nForrest is enrolled in physical, occupational, and speech therapies. He receives all his nutrition and medications through a G-tube.
n
nThere are only about 35 males world-wide who have this disorder. Forrest had a brother named Hunter who passed away from the same condition.
n
nDespite all the medical challenges, Forrest is such a sweet and loving little boy.
n
nForrest will be adopted as a Sparrow to Lost River Jr./Sr. High School. Lost River students will work hard to raise money for Forrest through sponsored community service.
