Everleigh is a happy 2-year-old little girl who loves her family, animals, and being a little “cowgirl.”
In January of 2023, Everleigh was emergency airlifted to Portland after not feeling well for several days.
After arriving at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, doctors diagnosed her with two rare and aggressive forms of cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and mixed-lineage leukemia (MLL).
These types of leukemia cause a threat to Everleigh’s kidneys, brain, and spinal fluid, among other organs. When she was first diagnosed, 90% of her body was full of cancer. Her medical team sprang into action and entered Everleigh into an aggressive treatment plan, which she has been receiving for the last two years.
Everleigh will fight this medical battle for at least the next two years. She has already had chemotherapy, spinal tap treatments, pic lines, bone marrow tests, and many other intense procedures.
Everleigh may need to undergo a bone marrow transplant in the near future.
Although it has been a scary time for this precious little girl and her family, they continue to keep hope alive and face each day with determination.
Everleigh will be adopted as a Sparrow to Scenic Middle School. Scenic students will work hard to earn money for Everleigh through sponsored community service.
