Azul is a sweet, joyful, fun, and environmentally conscious ???almost??? 13-year-old girl. Azul is full of love, which she generously shares with people, animals, nature, and the earth. Azul likes to paint and craft, and her favorite color is blue.

nOn June 18, 2021, after weeks of showing several signs that something wasn???t right, Azul was diagnosed with a type of cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

nAzul was quickly scheduled for surgery to install a port and then immediately began chemotherapy treatment at Phoenix Children???s Hospital.

nSince June, Azul has endured weekly chemo treatments and recently completed her 4th phase on 2/21/22. Overall, Azul???s treatment plan will last for 2 full years.

nEven though the side effects from chemo have been harsh (fevers, nausea, changes in taste and appetite, and hair loss???twice), Azul continues to fight with the heart of a warrior and continues to shine her beautiful light to our world.

nAzul will be adopted as a Sparrow to Cactus High School in Glendale, AZ. Students will work hard to earn money for Azul through sponsored community service.
