Raelyn is an energetic and witty six-year-old that loves unicorns, sloths, cheetahs, having fun and playing with friends.

nOn August 30, 2020 Raelyn’s parents noticed something was not right with her balance and took her to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. An MRI immediately revealed a brain tumor.

nTwo days later Raelynn endured brain surgery to remove the fist-sized mass. She was officially diagnosed with a grade IV medulloblastoma (cancerous brain tumor).

nRaelyn’s treatments required a special type of proton beam radiation only offered at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She spent six weeks there receiving radiation.

nShe returned home in mid-November to begin the next phase of her treatments of monthly chemotherapy beginning mid-December

nDoctors are extremely hopeful they can help beat this cancer, but Raelyn has a fight ahead of her.

nDespite this medical trauma she has experienced, Raelyn remains funny, optimistic, and empathetic to others. She is a true warrior.

nRaelyn will be adopted as a Sparrow to Liberty High School. Students will have the opportunity to work hard to raise money for Raelyn’s ongoing treatment and daily expenses through sponsored community service.
