Malachi's Story:
Malachi and his twin brother, Jaden, were born 10 weeks early in June 2010. Doctors originally thought they would be fine, but discovered a few weeks later that Malachi had a brain bleed, which led to Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy can mean many different things, and it is still unclear as to how it will affect Malachi. His diagnosis is non-spastic quadriplegic CP and at 20 months he cannot rollover, sit, crawl, stand or walk on his own, though he is making steady progress. This is very hard for him since his brother is just learning how to run!
Malachi is social, loving, bright, and hard working. He enjoys his therapies and loves to interact with people. He loves to read books, go out and play games. He loves to listen to his mom's funny voices and especially enjoys being with his brother.
Malachi has tried many different therapies and one method in particular is very helpful. ABM offers Malachi the best chance to maximize his capabilities and is offered in California by some of the most skilled practitioners. Malachi's parents, Shasta and Matthew, hope to use Sparrow Cash to go back to California and visit the ABM practitioner again before he turns 2.
