Anthony's Story:
Anthony is an 13-year-old boy. He has medical complications that impact the function of his heart and lungs. In addition, Anthony has seizures and has had many surgeries and hospital visits in his short life.

In June 2015, Anthony had surgery to surgically get a trache to help him breathe. 3 days after surgery, while in a medical coma, he developed pneumonia and found himself fighting hard for his life.  He spent 87 days at Seattle Children's Hospital.  He is now on oxygen 24 hours per day.

The family was unable to obtain needed medical equipment for Anthony while living in Eastern Oregon, so the family recently relocated to the Seattle area to be closer to his doctors and the medical care he needs.

Anthony will have two surgeries in October 2015, along with countless clinic visits.

Anthony is a big sports fan. The Seahawks and Mariners are two of his favorite teams. He is known for his social and fun loving personality. Anthony loves to be around people and easily makes friends. He is a wonderful big brother to his younger siblings. Anthony’s mom admires how well he copes with his physical challenges and considers him a huge inspiration to herself and others.
