Mia's Story:

(2/19/10) Mia was born with a heart defect. She has had two surgeries to correct the problem, and all seemed to be going well until she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Now she is in need of a heart and lung transplant. Family has to travel to Stanford for doctor appointments and for the transplant. The family needs help with the cost of travel (food, lodging, etc) while in Stanford, and with the cost of ongoing medical care as Mia has already met the lifetime limit of $1,000,000. on her family's health insurance coverage.
