Lilliana's Story:
At only two years old, Lilliana has been an inspiration of strength to her family. Lilliana was born with a rare condition called hydrocephalus, a disorder that causes a progressive enlargement of her head from cerebrospinal fluid accumulating over her skull. This has effected her oral and tactical sensory processing. Because of this, Lilliana eats from a G-tube in her belly. She also suffers from dysphasia (a brain injury that can impair speech and communication) and has early intervention, occupational, physical, speech and feeding therapy. She has asthma and has had pneumonia multiple times in her young life and is very susceptible to getting it again. When Lilliana gets older she will need assistance from a service dog and a walker.

Because of her condition, Lilliana must travel to Portland on a regular basis. Her parents are planning to take her to UCSF in California to see a neurologist and eventually would like her to see a highly rated neurosurgeon in Ohio or at St Jude. Lilliana could have lifetime of struggles ahead of her but her family has so much hope for her future.
Although Lilliana has been through a lot, she still has a smile that lights up the room. She loves her older sister Jasmine and playing with her dog.

Lilliana will be adopted as a Sparrow to Hidden Valley High School in Grants Pass. Students will work hard to raise money for Lilliana through sponsored community service and fundraising projects.
